Operating from 100 Mile House in the Cariboo region of British Columbia, the company supports projects across British Columbia for contractors, landowners, and industrial clients.
The company is owner-operated by co-founders Mark Loftus and Matthew Rusaw, who collectively bring more than four decades of experience in the drilling industry. With skilled crews, modern drilling equipment, and a commitment to safe operations, RDE Drilling Services delivers reliable results for a wide range of drilling applications.

Matthew Rusaw
Manager
Matthew Rusaw is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in drilling operations, environmental and geotechnical projects, and health and safety leadership. Throughout his career, he has contributed to major projects across North America, with expertise spanning drilling, remediation, oil and gas operations, and environmental programs.
He has held key leadership roles including HSE Advisor, HSE Manager, and Global Quality Manager, supporting high-profile projects for organizations such as Suncor, Syncrude, Shell Albian, Teck Coal, Rio Tinto, MEG Energy, and Imperial Oil.
Matthew brings a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence, backed by numerous certifications in safety leadership, hazard investigation, and construction safety management.
Mark Loftus
Driller and Field Superintendent
Mark Loftus is an experienced drilling professional with over 20 years of expertise working across Western Canada. His background includes water well drilling, geotechnical instrumentation programs, environmental monitoring programs, dewatering systems, and the development of high-capacity production wells.
A Certified Journeyman Water Well Driller, Mark has contributed to major industrial projects for organizations such as Suncor Oilsands, Syncrude Canada, Manitoba Hydro, SaskPower, New Afton Mine, and Mount Polley Mine, along with countless domestic water well projects. 
He brings a strong technical foundation and hands-on experience across a wide range of drilling platforms and ground conditions, supporting the successful execution of complex and demanding projects.

Over the past several years, RDE Drilling Services has completed a wide range of drilling and water system projects across British Columbia. From residential water wells to large industrial drilling programs, the company has built a strong track record of reliable project delivery.
The team has successfully completed more than 400 domestic, irrigation, and industrial well installations over the past four years, with well diameters ranging from 6 to 16 inches.
RDE Drilling Services has also supported major construction, mining, municipal, and agricultural projects throughout the region.
